86229 Lions Club International is as good as completed. Just a few final checks and touching up are required before locomotive is sent on it`s way!

Here we can see that with the exception of jumper cables, all details have now been added. The process of applying coats of satin varnish has now been started.

86229 has finally got some numbers to identify itself as such! Roof detailing is well underway at this stage.

Front ends have now been repainted, and all masking is now removed. The majority of the remaining work is now roof detail, mainly constructing the pantograph base. Completion could well be closer than you think..... Maybe!

86229 is receiving coats of warning panel yellow. Nothing too exciting, but at least we can see progress being made. Once dry, some of the front end detail will be picked out in relevant colours, before being given a coat of glass varnish ready for transfers.

Underframe details have now been painted, and work has now turned to front-end detailing. Seperate grab-rails will be added next before priming, and then respraying the cab front.

Here we can see underframe detailing in progress. Everything is in place, and has been sprayed black. Individual details now need picking out in their appropiate colours. Turning to the bodyshell, the roof has been repainted, and will have front end details added next. The bodyshell is ready for new transfers once this has been done.

Hardwicke is now berift of any name, numbers, or virgin branding....After a good wash, and after the front ends have been completed, replacement transfers will be added.

A final look at 86225 before transformation....
