This page has said 'Coming soon......................' for too long to be honest! I intended to feature a detailed profile of the rakes of freight stock, and also individual wagons which will appear on the layout. This is something I still intend to do, but will be a time consuming process which isn`t at the top of my list at the moment.
However, due to several requests, I shall do a brief update (21st March 2006) with a quick glance at the stock currently available:
* Amey Roadstone PGA hoopers, currently 28 in rake
* HAAs, approx 30 in rake
* TEAs, 9 in rake
* RMC JGAs, 18 in rake
* 'Car-tic' rake, over 14 feet long!
* 2 large rakes of FFA/FGA`s with numerous containers available.
* 2 rakes of Bachmann intermodal wagons, 1 set permenantly carrying Bulktainers.
* HEAs 'Railfreight'
* HEAs 'post railfreight'
* 1 rake Rugby Cement Presflos, 12 in rake
* MEAs, approx 16 in rake
* 1 rake of at least 18 Grain Hoppers 'Blues' - Wrong region, but I`ve always liked them!
* Rake of various steel carrying wagons, over a dozen in rake.
* 1 rake of mixed, MFA, MHA, MTA, approx 25 in rake
* MKAs, currently only 6 in rake, but more to come.
* Rake of Iron ore wagons, over 30
* VEA`s, rake of 10 at present
All the above rakes are to be run in fixed formations.
Some freight stock, particularly wagons used in speedlink services, will obviously fluctuate within rakes. For these purposes, we have several V tankers, over a dozen TTAs, over a dozen OAAs/OBA`s/OCA`s, lots of VAAs, VBAs, VKA`s etc, Cargowagons....... This list really could go on and on.... Then there`s all of the other engineering wagons and the permanant way train!
There are also numerous future plans for other freight stock, but that`s for another day!
I hope this has been at least of some remote interest to someone. We will have some updates coming soon including some photos, so until then, please be patient. And as usual, any feedback is welcome.....
