85030

This model was made from a shortened class 86. The cab ends were suitably modified, extra engine room windows added, and the bodyside grilles on the other side of the locomotive were all scratch built. The roof area was also scratch built, and has been fitted with a Sommerfeldt pantograph. All underside equipment has been scratch built. Also note the lack of Flexicoil springs! The cast arrows are from Shawplan. I shall be replacing the tanks on the roof with smaller scale ones in the near future. Thanks go to Andy Gautrey, as the inspiration for this model came from one of his articles in AC locomotive groups magazine "AC lines".

Scheduled for major cosmetic makeover July/August 2006
